I am Lt Cdr Muhammad Asad Qureshi (R) CEO and Co-Founder PIFFERS Security Services (Pvt) Ltd. I am a Submariner with passable experience of over two decades in Navy. During my career I graduated from Pakistan Naval Engineering College with majors as Control Engineering, Radio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Physics, Metallurgy & Electronics and obtained the degree of B.Sc (Hons) from Karachi University. I was selected for Plymouth, UK to complete my sea training with practical training on Blind Pilotage, Acoustics, Firefighting & Damage Control, Environmental, Health & Safety aspects, Engineering & Architectural domains etc. From 1995 onwards, I remained connected with submarine service and managed the Administrative Matters, Personnel Management, Project Management, Financial Management, Operations & Engineering domains including AIP (Air Independent Propulsion System), Power Generation & AC/DC distribution, Environmental Control, Hydraulic, High Pressure Air systems, Noise monitoring & Vibration Analysis etc. In official capacity, I have travelled almost across the globe. However in below mentioned countries I completed several assignments & foreign courses from UK, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, South Africa, Bangladesh, Maldives, Srilanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China and Philippines. During my stay I also got a chance to explore their culture, gained the experience of diplomatic channels & Public Relations while interacting with high dignitaries & diplomats. In the year 2000, I became a qualified navigator and a meteorologist with expertise in Astronomy and Meteorology. As a Chief Instructor at Submarine training Centre, I formulated and promulgated the Syllabi and Submarine Training Publications for the newly inducted submarines and was declared one of the Best Instructors of Pakistan Navy in 2004. I am graduate of Pakistan Naval War College and also obtained a degree from Bahria University in MSc (War Studies). I also did a Foreign Course from Turkey. After staff course I was appointed at NHQ in Ops Directorate. In 2006, I was appointed in National Defense University where I was ensuring Training Management & Coordination in running the highest ranking course of Pakistan comprising faculty/visiting faculty of the high ranking Military Officers, Bureaucrats, Foreign Ambassadors and Delegates from different countries. After premature retirement in 2009, I did MBA in HR Management. I am also the Author of Articles related to Blue Economy Potential & Prospects for Pakistan. From 2010 till 2012, I served as Head of Security Gerry’s / FedEx at Islamabad and was looking after security paradigm of 17 Embassies Visa processing affairs including UK, Australia, Malaysia, Canada, Schengen Countries etc. I formulated the Security Manual of Gerry’s in the light of Schedule IV (Security Protocols Guidelines) of UKBAwhich is till to date taken as bench mark on security. In parallel we established PIFFERS Security Services (Pvt) Ltd. which is now operating Nationwide. I was part of Standing Committees on Security of Islamabad Chamber and FPCCI in 2019. Currently I am serving as Senior Vice Chairman of APSAA (All Pakistan Security Agencies Association).
